Why is my shampoo liquid?

At Energie Fruit, we make it a point to ensure that our products are as clean as possible. We've chosen natural, vegan, and made-in-France formulations, and we opt for natural alternatives to controversial ingredients, without compromising on effectiveness.

Since sulfate is very harsh on the hair fiber and scalp, we don't use it in any of our formulas. It's the sulfate that's responsible for the lather, which is why our formulas lather less than sulfate shampoos. But don't worry, this doesn't affect its effectiveness or softness. On the contrary, sulfate-free shampoos help preserve the hair's natural moisture and provide lasting protection 😊

Do your formulas contain PEG/polyquaternium-10?

We haven't found a formula that doesn't contain it yet. However, our formulation experts are actively working to reformulate certain references so we can do without it completely.

Are your products suitable for reactive skin?

Yes, our formulas are designed to respect all skin types, even the most sensitive. To ensure this, they are systematically tested under dermatological supervision. All our fragrances are free of labeled allergens and contain a maximum of ingredients of natural origin.

What is the difference between a natural product and an organic product?

A natural product contains ingredients derived from nature, as opposed to animal or chemical ingredients. An organic product is certified by an independent organization and adheres to strict specifications. Some of our products are certified organic by Ecocert, including our body care and deodorants!

Do you use preservatives in your products?

We use preservatives only when necessary, such as in emulsion-type formulas. This allows us to guarantee the stability and safety of our formulas. The preservative system we use is the gentlest available for skin and scalp. When possible, we do without preservatives altogether, as is the case with our Déocrèmes.

What are the harmful effects of sulfates in shampoos?

Sulfates are foaming agents commonly used in conventional shampoos. While they help create a rich lather, they can also be harsh on the scalp and hair fiber.

What are the effects of sulfates on hair?

Scalp irritation: Sulfates, such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), are powerful surfactants that strip away natural sebum. The result? A drier scalp, prone to itching and irritation.
Weakened and dull hair: By stripping the hair fiber too intensely, sulfates can make hair more brittle, split and dull, especially if it is colored, curly or naturally dry.
Rebound effect on the scalp: An stressed scalp can produce more sebum in reaction, making the roots oily more quickly.

How do I know the expiration date of my product?

Our Energie Fruit products have two expiration dates that you can easily find out:

The best before date after opening (BOP): you can find it on the back of the product pack. It is written in the
small logo of a pot with a lid with this inscription: 12M

Little tip: M means “month” (here for example, the product has 12 months after opening to be used).

How do I store my products to prevent them from spoiling?

Store them in a cool, dry place, away from light and temperature fluctuations. In particular, avoid exposing Déocrème to heat to preserve its creamy texture.

Are your products suitable for children?

Our products are all suitable for children ages 3 and up! Our gentle, sulfate-free, silicone-free, dye-free, and pH-neutral formulas are ideal for little ones.

Are your products suitable for pregnant women?

At Energie Fruit, we are committed to formulating the gentlest and safest products possible. The majority of our hair and body care products are made with ingredients of natural origin (between 95% and 100%), and we exclude controversial ingredients like sulfates, silicones, mineral oils, and artificial colors.

However, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we always recommend that you check the INCI list and seek the advice of your healthcare professional, particularly for products containing essential oils.

💡 Good to know: Our ranges without essential oils are generally well tolerated, but each woman is unique and caution is still required during these sensitive periods.

How do I make my sulfate-free shampoo lather?

Our shampoos are sulfate-free, which reduces lather compared to a sulfate-containing shampoo, but does not affect their effectiveness. For better distribution, apply evenly to wet hair and add water gradually, or use our Scalp Massage Brush in the shower. The second shampoo always tends to lather more than the first.

It takes time for my scalp to get used to my sulfate-free shampoo, is this normal?

Yes, absolutely! When you switch from a classic shampoo (with sulfates) to a cleaner shampoo, your scalp may need a little time to adjust. For a few washes, it may produce more sebum or seem drier, but don't worry, it's temporary! This is called the hair transition, which is the period of your hair's adaptation to a healthier routine, the time it takes for the heavy agents contained in sulfated shampoos to disappear from the scalp and hair fiber. After this phase, your hair will regain its natural balance.

Is plant-based collagen effective in repairing my hair?

Yes, absolutely! Plant-based collagen helps strengthen the hair structure, improving its elasticity and strength. It helps repair damaged hair by filling cracks in the hair cuticle. Our Repair Collagen range is therefore the ideal ally for damaged hair, to regain health and strength without a trip to the hairdresser! We recommend applying the complete routine consisting of the Repairing Shampoo, the 2-in-1 Replenishing Mask and the SOS Intense Repair Serum for instantly visible and long-lasting results.

What is the difference between the coconut range and the cocoa range?

At Energie Fruit, we aim to offer products suitable for all hair types, which is why we have created different ranges based on each person's needs.

The coco range is suitable for wavy and curly hair, type 2B to 3B, it hydrates the hair fiber and ensures beautiful definition of curls without a heavy effect.

The cocoa range , on the other hand, is suitable for textured, curly to kinky hair types 3B to 4C, which needs more intense nourishment. Its formulas enriched with cocoa butter intensely nourish for deeply nourished hair, long-lasting nutrition, and easier to style hair.

Can I use Coco Curl Jelly on dry hair?

You can use Coco Curl Jelly on dry hair to refresh your curls. But for best results, apply it to damp hair after shampooing and conditioning. For a morning refresh, lightly dampen your curls before applying a small amount of jelly. This will help the jelly penetrate the hair fiber better, ensuring long-lasting curl hold.

Why do I have white residue in my hair after using Coco Curl Jelly?

White residue is often caused by over-application, poor distribution, or if the product was applied to dry hair. Warm it between your hands before applying and use a comb or your fingers to spread it evenly through your curls.

Does UltraJelly Fix really last all day?

Oh yes! Its formula is designed to hold your style from morning to night, without a stiff finish. Your curls stay defined, without residue or weighing your hair down.

Will UltraJelly Fix suffocate my scalp?

Not at all! Its lightweight texture allows it to hold without suffocating your scalp. And as always with Energie Fruit, the formula is ultra-clean to respect your skin and hair.

How do I know if my scalp is unbalanced?

If your scalp is itchy, becomes oily too quickly, or conversely, is very dry and your hair is dull, it's because it needs a little reset! An unbalanced scalp can also be the cause of hair loss or dandruff. To address all these issues, we have developed the Detox Aloe Range, consisting of a Rebalancing Shampoo, an SOS Detox Scalp Serum and an Exfoliating Scalp Massage Brush.

How can I rebalance my scalp?

Our Detox Shampoo and Detox Serum are here to purify and soothe your scalp. Enriched with green tea and aloe vera for the shampoo and centella asiatica and aloe vera for the serum, they help regulate excess sebum, calm irritation, and restore lightness to your roots. Is deocrème as effective as a spray deodorant?

Yes, but that's not all! It provides 48-hour protection, while being kinder to your skin thanks to its 100% natural formula and gentle fingertip application.

Why is my deocrème melting?

Our deocrème contains plant-based oils and butters that react to temperature variations. Store it away from heat and sunlight to prevent it from liquefying. If this happens, don't panic; it won't affect its effectiveness or quality. It will return to its original shape when temperatures drop.

Can I use 7 Wonders Oil on my face?

It's designed for the body, but some users have successfully applied it to their face. However, we haven't tested it on this area, so use is at your discretion.

What is the difference between body milk and body oil?

Milk: moisturizes by penetrating quickly, without a greasy finish.
Oil: nourishes more intensely and leaves a satiny effect on the skin.

Yes, all our packaging is designed to be recycled. Remember to sort it carefully according to local guidelines. You can also refer to the instructions on each product for optimal recycling.
